Harvest Apple Bread

1 cups white sugar
1 cup br. sugar
2/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
3 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup cold coffee
2 cups chopped apples

Grease and flour loaf pan or muffin tins
Cream together sugars, shortening and eggs.
Sift together dry ingredients. add raisins and walnuts.
Add coffee to creamed mixture alternately with dry ingredients.
Fold in apples. Bake in 350 oven for 50 min . for loaf or in 375 oven for 20-25 min. for muffins.
